When you are doing tenant screening, there are some things that you should remember to include when performing the search. Here are some of the things that you should remember when you are doing screening for landlords. They are going to help you with getting the most complete information.

  1. Get some complete information from the application – The background check’s going to be based partially on the information that’s provided by your applicants.  If the information that is necessary isn’t there, it may delay the results.
  2. Order a history search for addresses and a SSN trace – This kind of search’s important with any kind of background check. Through identifying the residential history of the applicant, searches for things like driving records and criminal history can be done in the right location.
  3. Include former names and aliases – When you are looking for someone’s information, you should include their previous married name, alias, or maiden name if it was used as recently as seven years ago, you should include that information in your order. Otherwise the information that you get may not be complete.
